An 8-week structured coaching program that translates your military command experience into civilian career impact — so you walk into your first role as a leader, not a rookie.
The Blueprint was designed for one type of person: a senior military leader within 6–18 months of transition. If that's you, read on.
Master Sergeants, Sergeant Majors, Chief Petty Officers transitioning to civilian management, operations, or leadership roles.
Majors and Lieutenant Colonels ready to translate command experience into corporate leadership, consulting, or executive tracks.
You're close enough to act, but still have time to build your brand, network, and narrative before your ETS or retirement date.
You led people and programs at scale. Your goal is a civilian role that reflects your actual level of responsibility — not an entry-level position.
You've spent your career in the military world. You're starting your civilian network from scratch and need a strategy that actually works.
You don't want to spend 18 months fumbling through job boards. You want a structured, accountable path to your first civilian offer.
You're more than 2 years from transition, you've already landed your first civilian role, or you're looking for a job placement service (we coach — you execute). The Blueprint works because the people in it are committed. If you're not ready to do the work between sessions, this isn't your time.
Each session builds on the last. By the end of week 8, you have a clear identity, a compelling narrative, an offer strategy, and a peer group keeping you accountable for the long term.
Session Outcome: You leave with a clear, confident answer to "Tell me about yourself" that doesn't start with your rank or end with a war story — and a written leadership identity statement that anchors every conversation you have going forward.
Session Outcome: A clear target job function, 2–3 industries that fit your background, and a company shortlist of 10–15 organizations worth pursuing — plus the framework to evaluate any opportunity you come across during the search.
Session Outcome: A library of 8–10 interview-ready STAR stories, confidence to handle the 10 most common civilian interview curveballs, and a live mock interview recording you can review before your first real call.
Session Outcome: A clear salary target range backed by data, a scripted negotiation conversation you've practiced out loud, and the confidence to counter an offer without flinching — typically worth $10K–$30K on your first year's compensation.
Session Outcome: A written 30-60-90 day plan tailored to your specific role type, a stakeholder map, and a clear understanding of how to establish credibility fast — so you're not still "finding your footing" at month three.
Session Outcome: A peer network of other veteran leaders you'll stay connected to for years. When you hit a roadblock at month 6 or month 18, you have a group of people who've been through the same transition and have your back — plus direct access to the CommandShift coaching team.
The Blueprint isn't a self-paced course. It's a structured coaching engagement with real human accountability built in at every step.
60-minute private sessions with your coach, spaced across the 8-week program. Every session has a specific objective and a homework assignment that builds toward your transition goal.
Core DeliveryYou're enrolled with a small group of peer leaders at the same stage. Group sessions create accountability, shared intelligence, and the beginning of a professional network that stays with you after week 8.
CommunityMonthly group calls and a private community channel — included indefinitely with your enrollment. The hard problems often show up 6–12 months in. Your cohort will still be there.
Lifetime AccessEvery session comes with a structured worksheet: Military Skills Inventory, Culture Recon Framework, STAR Story Library, Salary Research Template, 90-Day Plan, and more.
Resource LibraryEmail access to your coach between sessions. Running into a negotiation situation mid-program? Prepping for a real interview during week 4? You're not on your own.
Async SupportA full recorded mock interview in Session 3, with written feedback and a scoring breakdown. Watch it back before your first real conversation to lock in your performance.
Interview PrepThe Leadership Transition Blueprint is for leaders who don't want to spend 18 months learning civilian norms the hard way. Enroll now and start your first session within two weeks.
Both. The 6 core sessions are private 1:1 coaching sessions between you and your coach. You also get access to a peer cohort — a small group of veteran leaders at the same transition stage — for group sessions, accountability, and community support. The mastermind after week 8 is group-format.
Plan for 3–4 hours per week. Each session runs 60 minutes. Homework between sessions typically takes 1–2 hours — things like drafting stories, doing salary research, or completing a worksheet. You're not expected to do research for 10 hours a week. This is designed to fit around a full-time schedule or deployment prep period.
12–18 months out is actually the ideal time. You have enough runway to build your network, refine your narrative, and start interviewing before you're under financial pressure. The worst time to start is 60 days from ETS. We've seen it too many times — good leaders rushing into roles that don't reflect their actual capability because they didn't prepare early enough.
If you're 18+ months out, book a call first and we'll give you an honest assessment of when to start.
Great — the program is more useful, not less. We'll tailor the curriculum to your specific target role, industry, and company. Your STAR stories, salary research, and 90-day plan will all be calibrated to what you're actually going after. Most participants with a target role land faster than those still exploring.
No — and any program that guarantees an offer is lying to you. What the Blueprint guarantees: a structured process, real coaching, and the skills and tools to present yourself at your best. We've seen strong results because the program is built on what actually moves the needle in civilian hiring — not generic resume advice.
We do offer a satisfaction guarantee on Session 1. If you don't find value in the first session, you get a full refund. No questions.
The Blueprint is a private coaching engagement, not an accredited academic program, so it isn't currently eligible for GI Bill funding. SkillBridge is a DoD internship program and doesn't apply here either. We're exploring approved provider status for certain benefit programs — contact us to ask about current options.
Most clients fund this out-of-pocket and view it as a professional investment. The salary negotiation session alone typically recovers the cost within the first month of the new role.
You keep your mastermind access. Monthly group calls with your cohort and other Blueprint graduates continue indefinitely — included at no extra cost. The community channel stays active, and you retain access to all your program materials and worksheets. Transitions take longer than 8 weeks. Your support doesn't end when the program does.
That's exactly what the discovery call is for. It's a free 30-minute call — no hard pitch, no sales pressure. We'll understand your background and transition goals, tell you honestly whether the Blueprint is the right fit, and answer any questions you have. Book your call here.
